Sally J. Broad

Ms. Broad a trial attorney practices in the area of medical malpractice and professional licensure defense. She is a graduate of Highland Hospital School of Nursing, Rochester, New York (1973), the University at Buffalo (B.S.N. 1989, M.S. 1995) and the University at Buffalo School of Law (J.D. 1995). Ms. Broad, a registered professional nurse with more than 20 years experience in emergency services and healthcare administration, has extensive experience in dealing with healthcare regulatory and accrediting agencies. While working as a Nursing Administrator, Ms. Broad was active in the Emergency Nurses Association, serving a term as an exam writer for the National Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing. She has served on various boards including the Erie County Emergency Services Advisory Board and in 1999 was named the registered professional nurse of excellence by the Wyoming Erie Regional Emergency Medical Services Council.

Ms. Broad regularly lectures graduate, advanced practice nursing students at the University at Buffalo and other area colleges regarding the legal aspects of professional nursing practice and has presented at various local and national legal seminars on topics including, medical record documentation, deposition and trial preparation. Ms. Broad is a member of the New York State and Erie County Bar Associations, the Woman=s Lawyers of Western New York and is a volunteer tutor with the Lawyers for Learning Program affiliated with the Erie County Bar Association.
