Melissa M. Morton

Ms. Morton practices in the area of civil litigation.  Her practice focuses on casualty and negligence matters, including but not limited to premises liability, products liability, automobile liability, and industrial construction accidents.  Ms. Morton also has experience in commercial litigation and has worked on various labor and employment matters.  She also handles related appellate work in those practice areas. 

 Ms. Morton graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College in 2004, where she received the Charles Desmond Pre-Law Scholarship and was recognized as Who’s Who Among American College Students & Universities.  She received her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School in 2007 and was the recipient of the Jacob Weissfeld Scholarship for her exemplification of skills as a trial lawyer.  Ms. Morton is a member of the American, New York State, and Erie County Bar Associations, as well as the Western New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.  She is also involved with the Canisius College Alumni Association and the University at Buffalo Law School Alumni Association.
