Ms. Bergen’s practice includes labor law, employment discrimination, municipal law and product liability, as well as general negligence matters.
Ms. Bergen is a graduate of State University of New York College at Buffalo and received her Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
Ms. Bergen is admitted to practice in the State of New York, before all federal district courts in the State of New York and in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She also practices before the New York State Division of Human Rights and the International Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Bergen is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, and the Niagara County Bar Association. Ms. Bergen is a member and past board member of the Women Lawyers of Western New York.
Ms. Bergen became a partner at Gibson, McAskill & Crosby, LLP in 2001. In 2002, she was asked to take on the role of Project Manager at the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Center for Urban Studies, working to improve Buffalo’s impoverished neighborhoods. She returned to Gibson, McAskill & Crosby, LLP in late 2003 as Special Counsel.

Ms. Bergen is actively involved in the Western New York community. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Journey’s End Refugee Services, a community-based organization that provides refugees with the resources and tools needed to become successful, contributing members of society in the face of numerous challenges. Additionally, she previously served as a Board Member, Executive Committee Member and Secretary of the Elmwood Village Association, where she chaired the Search Committee for their Executive Director and led the planning process for their Strategic Plan.
