In Loving Memory of Our Partner

Sally J. Broad, Esq.

Sally Broad was a force of nature. A loving wife, tenacious and devoted mother and extremely proud grandmother. A loyal and fun friend. An elegant host and gracious guest. Home decor and gardening savant. Professionally, she inspired and mentored hundreds of medical and legal professionals. She was a groundbreaking emergency department charge nurse at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital and the first in that role at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Later in her second career, she was the first and only nurse attorney from Western New York to be inducted to fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Sally excelled as a trial lawyer because she was a storyteller like no other. And oh how she loved to tell you things, maybe even juicy tidbits that you didn't know.

At our law firm she took each of us, every single person, into her heart, cheering us on daily, comforting us through personal troubles large and small, mentoring us through professional challenges, laughing with us at the absurdities of life and in the practice of law, and celebrating our every success. If there were such a thing, Sally would have led the Buffalo Attorneys Best Dressed List every year for thirty years. There is no doubt that grieving with us are the shareholders of Talbots.

A generous, beautiful, talented person. We are so lucky she shared her life with us. And she will be very deeply missed.
